Watching and waiting....

It was with abject horror that we saw the headlines and heard the news on sky news this morning (the channel that seems to be on tv every morning!) that there was a bomb found in a merc in the haymarket area in london. Mmmmm, a bit scary since we're due to fly out in 2 weeks and had planned to visit london central during our stay. One wonders if this supposedly 'failed' bomb will make the terrorists more determined to see a bomb explode in london and make plans to action this. We can only observe and hope it all quietens down, though we never know when they will strike. We are just worried about friends of ours who live and work in london, in the midst of all this going on. I think we will keep our visits to central london to a minimum, during the week especially. I know the chances of being around and being hit in a blomb blast 2 weeks down the line, are slim but if things get a bit dodgy, we'll keep away.

Although it will hopefully not affect us and we're praying the weather will improve before we arrive, we were shocked to see such devastation after all the flooding in northern england and it looks set to continue apparently! It is not seemingly normal to have so much run at this time of the year... it can only be a result of global warming one would think?! I guess we can't worry about things we cannot control so just have to press on and hope that conditions improve in 2 weeks?!

We are looking forward to coming out to the UK to visit and before we know it we will be winging our way over there with lil Jordy who I hope is not too unsettled on the flight. What will be, will be I guess. Fortunately his passport has come through on time as we were worried it would not get processed with all the striking etc, but we've got it now thankfullly. We will probably have a busy 2 weeks, but either way, we'll have a great time. I'm going to make sure I put a leash/harness on Jordy, when we're out and about, and especially at the airport, as I'm so worried about kidnapping, as travelling abroad with young children is a bit more difficult and one can't take things for granted, but with us both to keep an eye on him, all will be just fine.

We look forward to seeing you all in london when we visit. We will get a UK mobile and will sms to confirm plans to meet up on the date suggested. I will email you all and give you Mark's mom's number where we'll be for the first week, incase you need to contact us and are not able to reach us on the mobile.

I must dash, but I will blog again soon! Have a great weekend all of you!
