The Adventures of Jordan & Anna

Hi Everyone

Just thought we'd share some photos of Jordy and Anna, which we thought you may enjoy! It's so sweet to see them together. Jordy is so gentle with Anna and loves her to bits, and Anna just looks at her cousin adoringly. Jordy's already been briefed that he cannot take Anna to any wild nightclubs when they are older!?!? Anna is at such a lovely age and stage now and is so aware of what's going on around her. She smiles so readily... and is beautiful as I'm sure you'll agree!

We were quite excited yesterday when Jordy successfully managed to feed himself with a spoon without messing half his dinner on the floor, so that was quite a milestone for him. Today he kicked the ball around the front garden which again, was quite exciting for us as well as him since it was another first. Seeing Smudge (our cat) climbing the tree earlier today, Jordy was very intrigued, and decided that he too wanted to climb the tree... and here's proof. Okay, don't stress... we were holding him... the camera work is so good you can't see any extra hands. It's not a case of "look Ma, no hands" - I'm too much of a whoosie to just leave it to chance!

We can't believe how much Jordy is learning on a daily and weekly basis... it's so rewarding to watch. He is like a sponge too... taking in everything and so keen to learn, so we try and make the most of every opportunity to teach him things he is likely to grasp, and we try and stimulate him as much as we can. He just loves books and he knows that after his bath and dinner, it's story time before he goes to bed, and he makes sure that he gives me a book to read to him. Sometimes if I'm tidying up in the kitchen or hanging his towel out and haven't yet managed to get to his room, he comes to find me and thrusts a book into my hands. He's just so precious... we love him to bits! I have to say, as much as I enjoy what I do and need the stimulation work-wise, there is nothing like putting down tools so to speak, after a working day and being with Jordy... albeit exhausting and draining at times, but never-the-less rewarding.
