Farewell faithful friend Bronsie

1998 - 2008

Today has been a very sad day for us as a family, as my folks had to put Bronson down after 10 years, which was very hard for them, since he's been such a big part of our lives for so long. He's been such an incredible animal and ever faithful, so it’s going to take some getting used to, not having him around, especially my mom who was with him so much.

Bronsie developed nerve damage to his lower back, thereby affecting the function of his limbs, which he was eventually dragging around. He’s been so determined to move and be mobile, and not just lie around even with the lack of feeling in his legs, and having a sound mind which he did, it made it all the more difficult to put him down. He would have only regressed over time and it’s been hard seeing him deteriorate over the last 2 months.

We ask ourselves why we have animals when we have this heartache, but without them, life would certainly be empty. I guess we can rest assured that Bronsie is probably chasing dragonflies in heaven’s meadows and is not in any discomfort or pain. God Bless him!
